Braces & Invisalign
Orthodontic care is crucial to the proper development of the mouth. To help align growing teeth, or realign grown ones, it’s important to implement braces or Invisalign technology for your – or your child’s – mouth. Not only do orthodontics and Invisalign technology create straighter, more aesthetically-pleasing teeth, but they also boost confidence and make sure teeth will age well, mitigating possible misalignment issues down the road.
Orthodontic Treatment
Early treatment for children – It is always good to have an orthodontic assessment early on in life. There are often treatments that can be done to help change functional problems or improve spacing to accommodate adult teeth in the future. Early treatment options can be traditional braces, expansion appliances, and functional improving appliances. These functional improving appliances can help the wearer to either avoid braces completely, or at the very least, shorten the time needed for wearing braces.
Myobrace – This is a new appliance we use to help address poor muscle habits contributing to improper tooth alignment. As part of our orthodontic exams, we assess muscle habits and breathing issues that can be affecting the developing jaws. If we notice a problem, especially in young children, the Myobrace is a very unobtrusive way to correct poor functioning and help realign the teeth and jaws.
Braces for teens and adults – Traditional braces are still often the best way to straighten and correct improper bites once adult teeth are all grown in. Whether you’re taking advantage of a new dental plan to address issues you’ve dealt with since childhood, or fixing new damage to your teeth, adult braces can give you a more confident smile.
At Peak Dental, we’re about meeting you where you’re at, and helping you reach your peak oral health – no matter your age, or your teeth!
Invisalign
This innovative technology helps realign teeth without the need for braces. Using custom-made clear aligner trays, teeth are gently moved over time. Invisalign treatment is much more aesthetic, hygienic, and allows for easier eating. As part of our orthodontic assessment, we’ll determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign treatment in Lethbridge.
